Substitute Training & Recruiting Services (STARS) - For School Districts |
Introducing STARS, a novel service designed to address the prevailing shortages in substitute teachers and other various school-related positions within our WNY districts. In the creation of this service, we collaborated closely with an advisory committee consisting of school district administrators, human resources, and school business professionals. This committee was united by a shared mission and commitment to both short and long-term goals. The service is structured around three modules (subject to modification): Marketing- Our primary focus initially involves participating in job fairs, multi-media advertising such as digital commercials, newspapers, social media platforms and establishing connections with an increased presence with local universities. We have an established application process on our website (www.e1b.org/STARS) where we direct applicants to apply. We then forward all applicants to your district for you to process. Vetting - This module encompasses the screening of the applicants, vetting, interviewing, fingerprint scheduling (additional charge), certification/license review, reference checking, and more. We would sort candidates based off of district specific minimum qualifications for each substitute position. Training - Our efforts extend to exploring strategies for consistently engaging substitute teachers through ongoing professional growth opportunities. If you would like to set up a meeting to discuss, please reach out to Patricia Wilkosz at 716-821-7264. |
STARS 360 - Substitute Training & Recruiting Services |
This service would include everything in our STARS - Substitute Training and Recruiting Services 660.800.00 program. School districts are able to utilize this centralized service to obtain substitute teachers and other staff to fill short- and long-term openings. Recruiting, fingerprinting (additional charge, see service 660.700), reference checking and substitute training/orientation are included. School districts would give us the authority to completely vet, interview, and hire the appropriate substitute applicants. We would send a list of hired substitute applicants with their demographic data and HR paperwork to the school district each month so it can go before the board for approval. If you participate in either of our Frontline Absence Management 660.500.00 or Red Rover 660.600.00 services, we would also then automatically enter the hired substitutes in those systems for your district. This service will provide an all encompassing 360 effort to help your district try and curb the nationwide sub shortage. If you would like to set up a meeting to discuss, please reach out to Patricia Wilkosz at 716-821-7461. |
Frontline Absence Management |
The automated substitute service, Absence Management (formerly known as AESOP) from Frontline Education, provides school district employees the ability to enter absences 24 hours, seven days per week, by calling a toll-free number or logging onto the Absence Management (AM) web site. AM uses phone and web platforms and will immediately show the assignments to available substitutes that match the qualifications and preferences of the district. Employees can manage absences, leave balances, and more through absence balances and absence approvals. NEW TECHNICAL SUPPORT HOURS: 6am - 2pm. NO additional cost! |
Red Rover K-12 |
The automated substitute service Red Rover, supports school districts with the latest and modern tools built to attract today's "gig economy" substitutes. Red Rover uses text message notifications, web and mobile platforms to make absence management easy for the K-12 districts. Employees can easily manage absences, time-off requests, leave balances, and more, through absence balances and absence approvals, while adhering to attendance policies established by collective bargaining agreements or union contracts. NEW TECHNICAL SUPPORT HOURS: 6am - 2pm. NO additional cost! |
