English Classes
Our English Language classes are designed to teach those whose primary language is not English. In our classes, students will learn listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Classes help students build self-confidence, explore career potential and develop job-readiness skills.

Day Classes

Classes are located at the apartment complex behind the Jewish Community Center (Amherst/Getzville) on the second floor. If the door is locked, please ring the doorbell on the table in the hallway for entry.
Beginner and Intermediate Classes
Tuesdays and Thursdays
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Sweet Home High School
Evening Classes
1901 Sweet Home Road | Amherst, NY 14228
Located near the University of Buffalo - North Campus. Enter through the "Door #4" Entrance in the north parking lot near the field of grass. Classes are held in Room 109 and Room 110.

Maryvale Primary School
Evening Classes
1 Nagel Drive | Cheektowaga, NY 14225
Enter through "Door #4" entrance located on the side of the building, next to the parking lot and the fenced grass field. Classes are held in the Bookroom down the hallway from the main entrance.
Beginner and Intermediate Classes
Mondays and Wednesdays
5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Orientation is Required for New Students
- Participants must complete Orientation before they can begin taking classes at JFS The Meadows, Maryvale Primary School or Sweet Home High School.
- Orientation for all locations is held at Erie 1 BOCES' Workforce Development North Campus at 1526 Walden Avenue, Suite 200 in Cheektowaga, NY.
- You are welcome to bring a counselor, caseworker, friend or family member to assist you with paperwork.
- Please arrive on time for orientation.
