BrainPop for Beginners | Mary Kovach, Michael Calarco | 7/12/24 | This Virtual session will cover the basics of using BrainPop with your students. For districts who subscribe, BrainPop offers a wide selection of educational videos in a variety of subject areas. These videos are accompanied by quizzes and other activities that can easily be assigned through classes that you create, or through classes set up through your district's learning management system. |

We will also cover the new Digital Fluency and Computer Science Standards resources hub within the platform. You will be ready to hit the ground running in September with your students! FastBridge for K-1 Teachers | Mary Kovach | 7/17/24 | This Virtual session will cover the "Composite" benchmark screening assessments for K and 1 students, which vary depending on the benchmarking period (Fall, Winter, or Spring). These benchmark screenings will then feed into Reports such as "Screening to Intervention," which will offer suggested interventions for students based on their specific needs. We will review how to screen students 1-on-1 in Reading and Math, as well as read screening reports. |
BrainPop Advanced Features | Mary Kovach, Michael Calarco | 7/18/24 | Learn about all that BrainPop has to offer! Newer features include leveled pause points during videos, requiring student interaction for engagement. Immersive Reader is now embedded within Brainpop, providing reading tools such as text-to-speech and highlighting.
