Give 716
Give 716 day was created as a joint effort between the Buffalo Bills Foundation and the Buffalo Sabres Foundation in response to the urgent needs our nonprofit community is facing as a whole.
Foundation to take part in Give 716 fundraiser
The Erie 1 BOCES Educational Foundation will join hundreds of organizations from across western New York for Give 716, an annual event which raises more millions for local charities and nonprofits.
The fundraising drive is scheduled to run from Monday, July 15 at 7:16 p.m. to July 16 at 11:59 p.m.
The independent and volunteer-led Erie 1 BOCES Educational Foundation was formed in 2019 to support the educational programs and staff of Erie 1 BOCES. The foundation has provided a wide range of scholarships to students and grants for staff, all in the goal of supporting learning in our classrooms.
During the Give 716 event, there will be special matching opportunities which will allow donations to be enhanced. Additional drawings are also held to provide additional support to organizations involved in the regional event.
Some featured matching periods include:
- July 15 – 7:16-7:59 p.m.: $50,000 matching donations for donation
- July 15 – 9:00-9:59 p.m.: $20,000 matching donations for donation
- July 16 – 7:00-7:59 a.m.: $10,000 matching donations for donation
- July 16 – 9:00-9:59 a.m.: $25,000 matching donations for donation
- July 16 – 1:00-1:59 p.m.: $25,000 matching donation
- July 16 – 5:00-5:59 p.m.: $25,000 matching donation
- July 16 – 6:00-6:59 p.m.: $15,000 matching donation
A minimum of $25 and maximum of $500 per donor will be eligible for matching donations. Charities are eligible to win multiple grants.
