Barbering for Licensed Cosmetologists
You will be trained in the skills necessary to pursue NYS Licensing as a Barber. The 300-hour training program includes hands-on experience in hair styling, cutting, clipping, and shaving. Current cosmetologists can transfer into the 600-hour Barbering program and can complete in 300 hours. (300 Hour Program)

Tuition $4,625
Tuition includes instruction, books and supplies. An additional $50 application fee to NYS Division of Licensing will be required at the time of testing. Financial assistance may be available through Federal Student Aid, ACCES-VR, the US Department of Veterans Affairs or other sources. A Financial Aid Coordinator is on staff to assist you.
A $300 security deposit is required to reserve your spot in this class.
Transfer Students
$20 per hour.
Transfer students are charged $20 per hour to complete Workforce Development Salon and Spa Programs. Transfer students will be registered for one of our scheduled sessions, but are only required to attend for the number of hours needed to complete.

Admission Requirements
- A personal interview will be conducted.
- A valid high school diploma or equivalency is required for students receiving financial aid.
- Minimum age for enrollment is 17 years of age.
