September 2024 Monthly Employee Spotlight
Contributor: The Inclusion.Diversity.Equity.Advocay (I.D.E.A) Committee
Hello, my name is Jenn Stockmeyer. Born in Georgia, I’ve spent most of my life in the Buffalo area. I’ve lived in the city of Buffalo for the past 20 years. I serve as the Senior Supervisor for Exceptional Education within the Instructional Services Department, where I support students with disabilities, alternative education, and the dedicated faculty and staff who contribute to their success. A highlight of my role is working on the new special education expansion project and exploring all the opportunities it offers to our community. I joined the team in May 2024, so I’m still relatively new to the organization but eager to contribute.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, photography, hiking, and spending quality time with my husband and daughters. We also share our home with two energetic rescue dogs, Roxy and Millie, who keep us on our toes. I’m passionate about staying current with educational trends and research, and I’m in the process of completing my dissertation in educational leadership at D'Youville University.
After 18 years with my previous organization, I’m excited to be part of this new chapter. I look forward to learning about Erie 1 BOCES culture and climate here, building relationships and making a meaningful impact within our community.
