Erie 1 BOCES FUSION '25 Fashion Show Highlights Student Designs
The creative designs of a record class of students in the Fashion Design Technology program at Erie 1 BOCES hit the runway during the FUSION '25 Fashion Show.
The April 3 show, held at Salvatore’s Italian Garden, showcased the work of 24 high school fashion students from across Western New York. This year’s class of designers is the largest since the show was first held in 2009.
Among the highlights for the show was a newly added series of sustainably upcycled fashion designs created with clothing acquired by students with support from Goodwill of Western New York.
Instructors for the program said the record number of student designers in the show reflects the word of mouth among students about the program's offerings and a high level of interest in learning about the fashion industry.

The two-year Fashion Design Technology program teaches students how to dress, style and create trends based on design elements and the fashion cycle. Students in the program also develop business plans as a part of their studies, setting them up for future success. The students’ work included creating the posters and tickets for the show.
