A Talented Student Making His Mark in Virtual Production and Design
Rhys Sugg, a student from Alden Central School District, is making waves with his work and enthusiasm for the Virtual Production and Design program at the CTE Center at Calspan Business Park.
“I wanted a program in which I was going to be able to challenge myself and have fun doing it,” he said.
Rhys has impressed his peers and instructors with his dedication and creativity. Instructor Jason Bieger said Rhys is “the type of student that every instructor wants in heir classroom.”
In addition to his classroom work, Bieger said Rhys has also found success while building industry experience in the community. The two-year program allows students the opportunity to study topics like digital photography and videography, 2D and 3D animation and compositing, visual effects, and combining virtual and physical worlds.
Looking ahead, Rhys plans to either attend a community college for graphic design or jump directly into the production field.
“With either choice, I will do something creative that fits me,” he said.
