Get to Know Minecraft Education Edition
Description |
In this workshop teachers will:
- Learn about Minecraft: Education Edition, its place in learning, and unique features suited for teaching and learning with immersive games.
- Become a Minecraft player. Learn the controls, crafting, and game features necessary to gain confidence and lower anxiety about game-based learning.
- Learn strategies, tips, and tricks to integrate Minecraft into your classroom. Learn what’s worked for educators successfully teaching with Minecraft, along with resources you can bring back to your own classroom.
- Take a learner’s role, and walk through a learning experience featuring Minecraft. Then, move through examples traversing grade span and subject area, demonstrating the global applicability of Minecraft in schools.

Classes are a team with unique permissions for teachers and students. As owners of the team, teachers assign and review work and create channels and files. Each class team is also linked to its own OneNote Class Notebook. Within the team, students:
- Collaborate in group work channels
- Share files
- Turn in assignments

Description |
This forum is designed to give Art Teachers opportunities to enhance their skills and curriculum using digital art creation tools. Programs that teachers will be exposed to are Blender, CoSpaces, and Sketchup. Teachers will then be given time and resources to develop lessons unit plans for their students. Time for learning and collaboration within this Professional Learning Community will be provided to support and maximise success. |
