Preschool Student Delivers Heartfelt Letter to Erie 1 BOCES Principal

In a delightful display of enthusiasm, three-year-old Jordan, a student at the Erie 1 BOCES Early Childhood Education preschool at the Potter CTE Center, delivered a formal letter to Principal Mr. Lucas Vogel detailing his positive experiences at the preschool. The letter, meticulously typed by Jordan’s papa captured the essence of Jordan's joyful preschool journey.

Jordan said, "My papa typed this for me. He thought crayon was too informal … he’s old school like that."

Jordan’s letter highlighted two of his favorite activities at preschool: finger painting and story time. "I was able to get my hands full of paint and make different designs on construction paper that made my family so happy to see," he explained.

In a testament to the preschool’s engaging environment, Jordan added, "There was so much to do that I didn't have time to miss my mom."

The letter was signed with Jordan's messy signature. His teacher, Mrs. Jaime Lubs was moved by Jordan’s letter, she praised his initiative, and expressed her gratitude for the positive feedback.

“My students work hard at creating a learn-through-play classroom that meets the needs of every child,” she said. “This sweet letter from Jordan affirmed all their hard work and creativity. Teachers receive gifts of all kinds, but a handwritten letter from the heart is truly the best gift."

The Potter Preschool is FREE for 3-5 year old kids and runs from October 14th, 2024 to May 22nd 2025.

AM Sessions are Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday from 7:40 am – 9:20 am

PM Sessions are Tuesday and Thursday 12:40 pm to 2:20 pm.
