High School Equivalency (HSE/GED/TASC)



High school equivalency (HSE) programs are provided by Erie 1 BOCES.

• Classes are free of charge
• Classes operate year round
• New students always welcome

Eligibility

  • Students must be 19 years of age and removed / dropped from high school; or
  • Be a member of a high school class that has already graduated; or
  • Have had 1 year pass since student was officially dropped from the school district

Class Assignments

  • HSE: for students above 8th grade level in reading and math
  • Pre-HSE: for students at/or above 5th grade level in reading and math
  • HSE Basics: for students below 5th grade level in reading or math

Orientation (Students Must Be On Time)

  • All orientations are held at Erie 1 BOCES - 1526 Walden Ave. Cheektowaga, NY 14225
  • Students must bring pens, paper, photo-ID, and a social security card or birth certificate
