With smartphone apps, upgraded email, SMS and text-to-speech messaging, as well as Facebook, Twitter and RSS integration, it is easier than ever to remain in communication with families, students and staff.

  1. Ability to extract required data from the source system
  2. Ability to securely transmit data
  1. Provide a primary and secondary contact for the service
  2. Ensure at least two (2) district employees participate in initial training
  3. Provide staff familiar with and with access to the source systems and procedures
  4. Comply with all regulations and laws governing mass communication
  5. Record messages, determine calling dates and times, print reports, etc.
  6. Provide vendor with electronic access to student/staff contact data in a readable and suitable format
  7. Updating and maintaining the accuracy of data is the sole responsibility of the district
  8. Give vendor permission to transmit district messages via the service to all contacts so provided by district
  9. Report issues and request training
  10. For off-hours support, contact vendor's 24/7 resources
  1. Train users and provide detailed instructions and documentation
  2. Provide telephone and email support
  3. Facilitate purchasing vendor licenses and services
  4. Assist the district in providing the vendor the student/staff contact data from the district's student and staff software management systems
  5. Serve as liaison between the district and the vendor
  6. Maintain strict confidentiality

The WNYRIC utilizes cost effective best practices determined by research that allows our experienced and trained technical staff to perform robust testing and support of the WNYRIC network in the areas of security, infrastructure, energy management, virtualization strategies, disaster recovery and business continuity. Therefore, we are able to be a district advocate for vendor contract issues and aggressively negotiate contract pricing and performance terms.

Staff follows best practices in order to provide necessary security as it relates to the most recent student, teacher and principal data security and privacy regulations.
